welcome to the forum. When was the fuel filter on the firewall last changed. have you checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. is your 02 sensor Honda or aftermarket?

thank you acmech52 for replying .and i changed the fuel filter twice before i put a new fuel pump ,the pressure on the fuel rail was31 psi with new fuel pump and i had no pressure loss. and the o2 sensor i changed twice . the one i have on right now is denso.the light came off for about 2 weeks and came back on but the car runs good but cant pass smog chk and starts ****y in the morning while its cold

just for info: If the O2 sensor is an aftermarket, even if it is like the factory denso, it will cause the light to come on. some last up to 3 mos. on the first start of the day running rough idle, is the idle cut off clean.

how can you tell if the o2 sensor is aftermarket denso. also if it was the o2 sensor would it be showing code 43 or another code

acmech52 03-11-2011 02:27 AM

If you purchased the O2 sensor from any place other than Honda, it is an aftermarket. code 43 also could be dirty fuel injector or bad injector resistor. Do you have a Honda manual to assist you.
