Default Drivetrain "whine" on a 96 Accord

Car Stats:

1996 Accord Ex
2.2 Vtek
5 Sp Man.
200K miles.

I have whining (or reving) sound in my drivetrain that I am trying to dianose.

I begin to hear it when I reach 30 MPH and it continually gets louder until 60 MPH.I can feel a little vibration in the gas pedal when I'm going 55-60MPH.It doesn't seem to be assoc. with the engine because when I clutch the noise persists. The car is functioning fine - no grinding when I turn -transmission fluid is clean and full. Any idea's what the noise could be?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum hobbyfarmer: enjoy your stay. Possible thrust bearing, usually a round copper/bushing that centers the transmission shaft in the flywheel area. If this gets worn down a bit, it allows the shaft to move in a direction to allow the gears to get noisy.( binding) Might get it checked out by a transmission shop who works on hondas.
