welcome to the forum. I would suggest going to Silver Star by Sylvania 9005su. Wallmart. 35.00 to 40.00 for a pair. change in pairs. So far I have heard no complaints with this light. It is a bright white lite, good for desert driving like I do. But for city, opposing cars think you have your high lights on. or go to stock cool blue 9005.again you can pick up at wallmart.

Default hid kits

might as well get HID's, just saw a freaking amazing deal that starts tonight at midnight on slickdeals. www.hidextra.com is getting hid kits for $30 bucks. Un-freaking believable!

Don't know if this is still relevant. one of my headlights went out so I replaced them both. I bought an HID conversion kit online and installed it myself. It was really easy.

I bought it at http://hidcanada.com.

Good luck with your headlights.

just wanted to ruin the party by letting everyone know that aftermarket hids on cars aka putting on hids aka hids not from the factory arent dot to approved which make them illegal. lol

First of all the statement DOT APPROVED is misleading. NHTSA, an arm of the U.S. DOT, does not approve or disapprove MV equipment. It does set Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for all MV equipment. FMVSS 108 covers lights. Manufacturers SELF-CERTIFY that their product meets the standard.HID headlights-If it has a transformer (ballast) it is an HID light. A true HID light casts a white light (looks like light blue tint). There are cheap imitations which are a plain bulb with a blue coating and these cast a blue light. When I was in law enforcement if I stopped a car with suspect headlights I hold a piece of white paper in front of the light. If the paper turns blue, that is illegal and driver gets "Norked" (gets a ticket). See the following NHTSA Interp letter at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/...18.ztv.html-It says, "SAE J578c defines white by blue, yellow, green, red and purple boundaries within a chromaticity diagram. Thus, it is possible to design a headlamp that emits a light that approaches the blue boundary and is perceived as having a blue tint but which nevertheless remains within the boundaries that define "white"".
