I bought my '92 Acord LX, 5 speed with 194K on it about 2 years ago (found a private seller parking it in a Wal-Mart parking lot). It came to TN from TX. I have about 210K on it now. In the summer I get 30+mpg, in the winter about 28mpg.

I had to replace starter, plugs, valve cover gasket, and right axle last year, front brake pads, and recharge the AC this spring. I try to keep up with 4-5K mile interval oil changes, and for the most part the maintence items are minor and I have been able to do them myself. Left side window regulator may need to be replaced, but I can live with slight wind noise.

I love this car. If the OE paint job had not faded (the clear coat blistering and flaking; it was like that when I bought it) everbody else in the family wouldn't mind riding in it.

1991 Honda Accord with 300,000 miles on her.
She was running great until today! Bought a new bettery for her, cranked her up, she ran fine like always then after 5 minutes the engine died. Hopefully she's not dead yet. The engine will turn now but not crank... Any ideas?

I have a 98 Honda Civic LX that has 144,000 miles on it but is up for some service.. driver side window won't roll up ..

however, I just saw a 2005 Accord that has 146,000 miles and am tempted to get that because I can afford it right now.. it is an automatic.. and my current car is a standard.. and I am going to be driving a lot more.. and tired of driving a stick.. .. seems to drive well.. no accidents. but the question of it having 2,000 MORE miles than my current car.... ??? is that a good choice?????? even for a Honda?

I have. 2000 Accord 5speed with 285k. I just put front struts, end links and sway bar bushings on. Drives like a dream. A/c is busted, paint is shot and leather drivers seat is toast but I would drive it anywhere. Just bought a2015 EX yesterday with70k on the clock. I retire in 8 years and I hope this car takes me there.
