My honda accord from 1988 dont want to idle from time to time. Take today for example, i started it in the morning and everything was fine and later when i got back from the store it didnt want to idle. Its a fuel injection multipoint engine i belive.

 

Regardless of whether it's carb or FI you have a system that uses vacuum to achieve everything. There's a box with a bunch of vacuum lines going into it. Your problem is likely in there.

 

Wow, a 25 year old car that doesn't want to idle?
When was the last time any maintenance was done to the car?
Clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve?
Changed the spark plugs? Wires?
