I have a 2003 Accord Coupe EX-L that I purchased in December of 2008 at 87k miles. I now have 107k miles on it and my center console screen blacked out due to this wiring issue. I didn't know about this when I purchased the vehicle, and the dealership is telling me repairs range from 500-900 USD.

I called American Honda - they told me that since I'm 2,000 miles over the warranty extension because of this service recovery, I'm out of luck. They also denied any "good will" discounts for some reason.

I've only owned Hondas, and I told them how I'm a loyal Honda owner. I'm very frustrated and am reconsidering my next car purchase.

Has anyone with an 03-04 accord had this issue, and if so, how do you recommend I take care of it without spending 1k. Very, very frustrating.
