Default J-Pipe Worth it or Not?

I have a 2009 accord v6 3.5L and thinking about putting on a new custom j-Pipe. Has anybody done this? If yes, what are the advantages or disadvantages? Is it worth the money (430.00)?

Welcome to the forum, well from what I read the cost is from $399 up and for 8 or 9 RWHP in my opinion ,not worth it , you can get a performance chip for one quarter that cost and some companies claim up to 60 HP. with the J pipe you would also have to go with custom exhaust to get the full hp. I would suggest a Cold air intake and performance chip to get that extra punch.

i say take your 400 and chip your car also. when it comes to an exhaust system you would want to change your whole exhuast system starting from the headers back. a bit more expensive i know but you get the full size advantage of the pipes from start to finish. the reason you do this in the first place is to remove the exhaust from the cylinders in a timely fashion, which in turns allows more fresh fuel and air to enter which burns more effectively without any residual exhaust fumes left in the engine. and you can do this more effectively with your whole system done instead of just a portion. of course its a nice addition dont get me wrong and but you will get more outta a chip to get you passing slowmoes on them highways.

I don't know much about the chips, but I do agree with increasing air flow. Installed K&N cai today and bought the J-Pipe in hopes to install soon. Thinking about a magnaflow cat back next but not sure. I don't care about the sound as much as performance.

Most cat back systems don't make a whole lot of difference in noise at cruise speed but they do at WOT.
