Default manual trans fluid change

hi. i'm new to this site. but i just bought a 97 accord ex with 150.000 for $1900. so far it seems like a good car. My question is what type of fluid is in the trans.? it's a manual. The hanes book says 96s and on use (mtf) manual transmission fluid. the real reason i want to change it is to hopefully stop grinding when i change from fourth to fifth. any info would be greate. thank you.

That sounds pretty accurate. Haynes manuals are usually right for the most part. I would go to the Honda dealership and use what they give me. Never fails.
