Default metal touched both battery terminals

dropped my wrench and landed on top of battery touching both battery terminals. The engine was off at that time. The wrench sparked and got stuck the terminals welding the screws a lil . Now my car will not start . I checked the battery fuse but it doesnt seem blown. Did the batter get drained? Please advise , thank you .

When you try to start the car, does it do anything at all? Do your headlights come on? Have the battery tested and make sure the fuse is not blown.
