Default need to gain more power

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and I got advised from a mechanic to find my questions answered. I own a 2016 Honda Accord Coupe EXL V6 3.5L Automatic Tr. I like to gain more power to the car with that 3.5 L. I like the car but the problem that I have is that I don't like the way it starts , its kind of slow in getting in the first 3 gears. its a little disappointment but I believe that in 3.5L engine there is a chance to gain more power then the factory made. I need a helpful professional advices please. Thank You!

if I install a cold air intake from K&N factory, would the engine gain power or need to be tuned in computer program?! I've seen online that some webside car performance sell chips to upgrade the engine performance and gain power in torque. I don't know if it's true ...

Cold air intake by itself will do very little ,you need to add a low restrictive exhaust,if you can find a chip that will help to a degree. You can only expect about 18 to 22 hp increase with these three add on's. And stay away from the oiled Cold air intakes .good luck.

Thank you bucwheat. The engine in this car is 3.5L in 278hp. all I need it is to get this engine up to 300hp. the car is light and I don't need to exceed more then 320hp. It's just that I like the car, but I don't like the way it takes over the first three gears. too slow. I've owned an 2005 accord v6 before and the acceleration was far better then the new one. Thanks again for the advice!

contact Hondata and see if they have the software to Reflash the ECU....I have the same 3.5 in my 2017 and they dont support mine yet but they might for urs...(Im not sure if its the year or the 3.5 they dont have) it adds HP and Torque raises the rev limiter and takes away the govoner...I actually just posted a thread on here asking if anyone knows where i can get it at beside Hondata....theres several Youtube vidoes up of the same 2 cars racing. One is stock and the other is reflashed and theres a pretty big increase in performance
