I've been heavily into old Volvo's for years, but I picked up a 94 accord EX Wagon the other day. It is, without a doubt, the filthiest beater car I've every purchased, but the VTEC engine is tight and strong. It has aftermarket headers and a cold air intake. Decent tires, good suspension and handling, Much faster that my Volvo 240's. I love it. I'll be asking more questions in separate posts, but this is my first one: The heater puts out mildly warm air, but not nearly as warm as every other car I've had. Any ideas?

welcome to the forum. the heater core may be plugging up or the heater valve is not opening up fully, or the hose is getting corroded with junk. the water pump may be going bad or not pumping water efficiently. or thermostate opening too early to keep engine cool.
I've got a lot to learn about the car. That's a great list. Thanks.
The engine runs a bit cool, according to the water temperature gauge. Oddly, the cabin temperature selection dial on the dashboard doesn't turn all the way towards the hot side. It seems to be jammed somehow, I've never encountered that before. Could that be the trouble? Here's a picture of the car. Does that plastic thing on the hood do any good? Look like it spoils the aerodynamics.

i like your wagon, the plastic thing on the front is a replacement for the older one that gets all dinged up and paint chips or debri deflecter. the new one looks good. your thermostat may have been changed to a cooler temp. there are a few different temp sets. for area of the country. i believe you have the ex model but where are the mag rims? if you have a sunroof unless it was a diy add on, it is an ex model. also the radiator may be brand new with added core. i'm guessing due to not being able to see all the parts of the engine compt.
