Hello all, I am new to this forum but not to wrenching. Most of my wrenching has been on American muscle cars, American pickups, diesels and German cars. However my granddaughter has a 2005 Accord and she is very much interested in doing her own work. She brought it by today to learn how to change the oil (could that filter be any harder to get at?). Got that done and I sent her off with a small list of things to pick up at Honda.

One of the items I noticed was the radiator just rattles around in the upper grommets and I wondered if that is normal or if new rubber grommets will fix that.

Also it appears that the Honda dealer has overfilled the tranny a tad, the owner's manual says to check it with the engine off, is that correct?

If there is anything I should know about these cars it would be great if you guys and gals would let me know. The car has 88K on the odo.

I am looking forward to spending time with my granddaughter doing something we both enjoy.

welcome to the forum. It is possible the grommet may be worn for the uppers. check your brake master filter or change the fluid if dirty ( brake light may come on soon if dirty) good car, last a long time. trans fluid change once a year using honda fluid only, nothing else. must purchase from Honda. do a 4 wheel alignment if never done. Honda does not do an alighment from the factory. rotate tires each 5k. oil chg per oil life meter.
