Default New tires, rating question?

Okay, so this tire store has an offer on a set of tires with a T rating. They tried to sell me those while saying that the Accord has an H rating, which is higher than T.

I'm curious if I got the T rated tires, would there be an issue forseeably?

The T rated tires Affinity Tour, by Firestone, are designed to last an extra 5,000 miles and will save me $100.

The most comparable H rated tires are Flaken Ziex tires.

What ought I do? Saving money is great but not if it risks my life or a wreck.

one tire that i love are the yokohama h4. all weather, great grip and a tire warranty. most tires in this class don't come with a mileage warranty like the nittos. with tires you might want to spend a little more. i bought cheep tires once and they had no grip what so ever. check online for rating.

hope this helped

T rating to 118 mph H rating to 130 mph. If you plan to drive in the 100-140mph range, keep the H rating or better. If you drive the speed limit + 10 max, you can go to the T rating. Any type of tire you get, make sure the tire rating also has A type rating. for traction and ???? forgot. ( it on the side wall.) Go to americas tires and dial in your tire and view all the info for your knowledge. rating, size, + sizes, wheels etc. You are paying for the tire, get what you can afford and is safe. no one looks at the tires at 25+ mph.

Tires last long time is good, but remember the side wall start to crack, now you have good looking treads but the side wall will start to leak out. I like Kumho' s, Solus, it is 65k warranty and I've got 55k now and the walls are just starting to show cracks. I do live in the desert and spray the tires to make them look good ( Son of A Gun ) tires on the car now for 1.5 years. So weigh the cost to lost if good tread and cracked side walls due to age.

i remember several years ago when i was shopping for tires and one of the reasons i picked the yokos was not only for mileage and handling but also because it has rim protectors (rubber sticked out so your rims wont get scratched). my vw is out in the sun all day long in calfornia and it's been over 4 years now and i don't put any tire dressing.. hell i don't even wash that car. i'm one of those people that only takes care of the engine and chassy. the only thing thats clean on that car is the engine and the windows.. oh, and the air steam because i check my pressure once a week.

plus i bought then from wheel works so if anything goes wrong they'll prorate the tires. even when i do burnouts... he he...

good buy and safe tires on yoko's, I hope the price is right, kumho's run 55.00 plus tax and all else you might want to add to it. (ea.) Yokohama's are great tires, price is a bit to high for me.
