Default R&R cylinder head

How hard and long does it take to R&R the cylinder head on a 97 Accord with the 4cyl non vtec?

My girlfriends car over heated on her the other night when a small water hose at the back of the engine blew on her. The car is running good now, but it is now blowing air bubbles into the over flow bottle but no water is mixing into the oil so I am thinking maybe a bad head gasket or cracked head, she is only loosing about pint to a quart of water when it is driven 30 to 50 miles and not getting hot at all. Thanks for your help in advance.

does any one know of any good sites where it shows how to R&R the head on this car? I took it in and the shop said it was the head gasket but they only wanted to replace the whole engine not just the gasket or head so I figure I would just do it, this will be my first time on a small car.

when you replace your head gasket, get your head shaved to prevent the gasket from blowing out again. Go to HondaHookUp.com. register and I beleive I saw a service manual you can download. I would highly recommend that you perchase a factory service manual, cd or hardcopy will help you better.
