12 valve head to 16 valve head

Default 12 valve head to 16 valve head

I have a 1985 crx civic with 12 valve head and a 1991 crx civic with a 16 valve head and I need to know if I can swap heads.

welcome to the forums.. if it is possible can i get the engine code for both motors?? it should be on the block to the left of the intake manifold.. it should say be a D series motors

Thanx for replying to my thread. I'm pretty new at forums. The 91' # D15B2-4023295
The 85' #EW4-1006239. I also would like to know if I can swap the motors maybe?

so are they both D15's just different valved heads?? if so then yes it will work.. as long as you put a D series onto a D series then you should have no problems
