Radiator fan wont shut off ...help
As of today my radiator fan continues to run with the key out of the ignition...
its a:
96' Accord LX
112k on the engine... 150k on the rest...
when i pull the fuse that controls the fan it shuts off the fan.. but if i connect the fuse again (with the car still turned off) the fan starts up again....
any ideas? ... hope this is a simple fix....

wire that runs from fan back to thermostate switch. disconnect that line and see if the fan goes off, if so the thermostate switch is in the hot position allowing power to the fan to stay on.

don't know if this helps anymore... but today i went out to my car cold and put the fuse in that i took out to stop the fan... with my car completely cold the fan starts up again as soon as i attach the fuse
i also unplugged the only wire i could see going from the fan and that also shuts it off..
any help there?

with the fan running, trace it back to your thermostate sensor and pull the plug out there. If the fan stops, you will need to change your thermostate sensor. this is the unit that when the water temp gets to about 180+ it completes the circuit and allows 12v to the fan to spin up and cool the rad.
