Reset Transmission

Reset Transmission
I have a 2006 Honda Accord SE automatic. I bought it used and it feels as if the transmission is shifting late out of 1st gear. I was told that these have "shift maps" in the computer that learn how an owner drives. Apparently I dont drive as hard as the previous owner, and need to reset the transmission. Can this be done?
I was told that simply disconnecting the battery will reset the computer in this case. Any ideas on what I should do, or if this is even an issue....

RE: Reset Transmission
The transmission will do it by it's self according to how you drive and where you drive. site's that explain a bit is http://corporate.honda.com/press/art...20010221001321
Also if you go to the autoweb.com article on"Bigger engine w/vetec for 98 Honda Odyssy dated 05january1998 under the tranmission section, it also explains the shift map.
On my 07 FIT, I noticed I can do this depending on how fast the traffic is in front of me, ex: If the traffic going down hill is 60, I lift off the gas pedal at 60 and it will remain at this speed all the way down the hill where normally my 02 civic standard will be doing 85mph at the bottom of the hill. The next day traffic is at 70, so I lift off at 70 and it remains at 70 to the bottom of the hill. I don't have to step on the brakes at all.
