Satelite Navigation

Satelite Navigation
Hi, question about the satelite navigation system in the Accord 2006 model. I own an Australian version and have noticed a large difference in the eta times and your actual arrival time, at the begining of the trip. Example trip of 438 kilometers, honda sat system states at the begining of the journey it is going to take 8 1/2 hours to do!!! A seperate gps system, using the same map data and route says the journey will take 5 hours 15 mins. My average speed for country driving is about 90 - 95 kph. The second gps system (navman) was within 15 mins of the actual eta time, at the commencement of the journey. The honda system did not get within 10 mins of a correct eta time until about 30 kilometers from the end.
Has anyone else noticed such an error in the eta times, using this satelite system and the Accord? When I am paying $3000.00 aus for such a system, I would expect a more accurate eta feature than quoting 8 1/2 hours to do a 438 kilometer journey!!!!!

RE: Satelite Navigation
Jeff,
There are some adjustable settings within the satnav unit for speed. These may well be set too low for each road type which means it will calculate a longer journey time than you'd expect to achieve. Try adjusting these.
Cheers,
Paul
