i have a 96 accord and the light on the pasenger door wont shut off when u close the door..could it be the pin or the wires?

 

could be either or switch that turns the light off when the door is closed in the door jam.

 

In the dash it says that the passenger door is open even if its closed..the light dims a bit so could the pin on the frame of the car be gone? I went to honda and they said it will cost me 25.00 but i dont wanna buy it if thats not the problem.. I even removed the bulb in the door but its still doing the same thing.
