Default Spark Plug Recommendations

I have an 03 Ex V6 Accord and need to change the spark plugs. Any recommendations as to which are better?

welcome to the forum. I have bosh platinum, ngk platinum is good also.

I just happened to look at some iridium spark plugs today and they seems to be levels above the platnium plugs. They spoke of it handling turbo applications very well but I'm not sure if the benefits of iridium only make much of a difference in a non turbo application.

I have the platinum's in my Accord,good plug.

i run the ngk iridiums in all of my cars they are a very good brand and so is bosch. just dont go with some crazy split fire plugs that burn too hot and you should be okay

DC2Misfit.. i use to think the same or the bosch but the ngk iridiums are really nick. worth the 8 per plug.

Thanks for this info puckhead, I also confirmed in the UK owners manual that for our cars with EJ20G our spark plugs are: PFR6G like you say.There is no mention of gap in the manual though, but I will go with whatever gap the current ones have.

Trying to get started with some much needed maintenance on my new used 99 Civic Ex. I was attempting to pull the spark plug wire boots out of the tubes to check for oil, but the boots wont come out. The top of the boot starts to slide down the wire, but theyre all in there good and I cant get them out. The Accord boots came right out, is there a trick with the Civic boots? Download Movie

don't know. maybe they're just stuck in there really good from the heat from that area, but that's the reason why it's so important to add dielectric grease on your boots and antiseze lube on your spark plugs before your install. a few bucks make things a lot easier later on. maybe force it out and buy new wires to replace them. bosch has a nice set of 7mm plug wires that have a life time warranty from autozone.
