here are the basics. im dealing with a '92 accord, 2.2l, auto trans.

yesterday my shifter was stuck between park and reverse. this morning i dismantled the console and somehow freed the mechanism. it seemed like the shift cable was jammed. i put everything back together and started the car. it turns out that i may have freed the shifter, but now my transmission is engaged in reverse in all gear selections but d3. to recap: the car goes in reverse when in park, reverse, neutral, drive 4, two and one.

ive done some searching on a number of forums and have found a bunch on stuck shifters, but nothing quite like i have now.

any idea anyone has on what this could be and what i can do (or how much im going to have to shell out) to fix it would be a great help.
