So I had to swap the motor in my accord and the transmission sat outside of the car by itself for a while until I found a motor. Finally test drove the car for a little while and it seemed meh. It would try to stall out when going from a stop and the front end jolts when it shifts or when I would let off the gas. Similar feeling to hitting a bump. I really wanted to try and sort out whatever the issue was before actually using the car again. I floored it and around 3rd gear when I let off there was a loud noise and then I had no drive. There was no grinding noises at all but I couldn’t drive forward or backward. After looking under the hood I discovered that one of the dual smooth shift solenoids had popped off of the piece it’s attached to. I ordered a new dual smooth shift solenoid to replace it. Car still wouldn’t drive right and threw a new code for pressure sensor A high circuit. So I replaced that one and the car still jolts when it shifts and now when you let off the gas it feels like slamming on the brakes. What fluid was left after the solenoid popped off was dark like dirty oil (definitely overheated before the solenoid blew off). The trans fluid had also never been changed (was my first car I didn’t know any better). I cannot seem to figure out what’s wrong with it and have given up mostly and pushed it to the side. I’m thinking I’ll probably have to get a whole new transmission but I figured I would ask on here first before I do that. The attached photos are the solenoid that had blown off.
