Default what to do....

Well come to find out I only got one key when I bought the car...they lost the other one and could not find it. So Anyone else used a lock smith to get a key cut? Ebay has some of the switchblade uncut keys...2 for 30 bucks...I called honda and wow the key is expensive. They want $185 for a key and also programed...$145 for a key only and if I get a key just made and take to them for the programing....its $102. I did think what if I found a cheap place to do the key and just get a alarm placed on it that it might be cheaper that way I get the unlock and lock function specially since my remote has a stripped screw in it...whats ya'lls thoughts?

Welcome to the new age of cars,we had my wifes pocket book stolen at the beach months ago and she had the 2nd key fob to the vette in it,the new fob cost $160,programming was $75,to have a key cut was $75, and the key itself cost $50. 20 years ago it would cost $5.50 for a key,and that's all you need.
