Default Wiper issue

Hi all, the wiper on the driver's side won't stay down (touching the glass). I can push the wiper down so that it touches the glass but when I use the wipers the wiper comes off the glass. Any ideas on why this is happening and a fix? Thanks.

I would suggest you to check the car's manual.there it would be given why such thing is happening.

have you checked to see if the nut holding the wiper blade down is loose.

I'll check the manual but I'm sure it won't be listed in there. I have checked nut and it was tight but I'll check that again to be sure.

Rechecked the nut and it is tight. Haven't checked the manual yet.

did you check to see if the spring tension on the wiper is good, sometimes it gets weak or breaks.

Nope didn't do that. What's the best way of testing the tension of the spring? Thanks.
