Default 03 civic lx oil plug stripped, help!!!

Hey guys. I had to put a oversized drain plug in the oil pan around a year ago. It still dribbles a little, but not bad enough that I wanted to replace the pan. I just took it to get the oil changed and the guys said there was no threads left. He said he could try to put threads in it, but it may be beyond that. He wanted $365 to replace the pan which I thought was extremely expensive. Do I have any other alternatives? I heard the $50 OEM pans work, but the holes do not line up that well and you may have to work with them as well.

Any of you on here have any more suggestions?

oil pan internet price 217 new, plus labor. if you go to a salvage yard cost is less you do the labor. or try ebay for an oil pan, may cost a lot less.

the pan is steel the plug is aluminium how did you manage to strip the pan and not the aluminium plug ???. go to harbor freight tools buy a tap and die set and re-thread the pan its way to easy not to do yourself.
