I need help. I just purchased a 2005 Civic LX sedan with an Automatictrans and a1.7L. The 1.7L non VITEC does not support upgrades very well due to the weak internals.
I want to do an engine swap but want to keep the automatic transmission.
What engine can I swap in and keep the Auto Trans?
What about the Acura RSX engine?
I am looking for 190hp.

 

well if u want 190 that would be tought to get out a motor less than the k 20 but then ur lookin at spending 6 k for a motor and i dont think u can keep the auto trans but im not positive bout that and why do u want to keep the auto trans any way. if you want 190 hp why would u want an auto trans with that dones not make sense to and i would not do that.
