I was on my way home from work the past 2 days and my civic with drop rpms and stall when I would stop it would start right back up! Then today on the way home it did the same thing but while driving would loose power ever time it would die it would start right back up, then got it home shut it off and opened the hood and violent started to spew out from the over fill, let it cool then filled it and started it up now I’m getting a loud ticking from the engine. Opened the valve cover and all the valves are moving. Removed the spark plugs and all seem good, all piston seem ol from peaking into the spark plug hole. Any ideas on what could be up thanks

 

I am no expert. Just another DIYer.
So here is my guess ...

Engine is over heating with coolant spewing out of the overflow??
Engine is stalling? Engine will start back up easy?

Check coolant level for proper level
Check radiator fans turning on
Check exhaust flow.

Stalling could have many causes
Clogged exhaust system ... (can be checked by removing up stream O2 sensor to see if the engine will stay running)
Idle Air Control is not operating properly
Throttle needs cleaning
Head gasket blown ... (any exhaust smell coming from radiator : Is the oil milky or have coolant in it)
Faulty ignition coils ... (doubtful but never know)
Faulty injectors ... (doubtful but never know)
Faulty EGR ... (Possible if your car has an EGR)
Faulty TPS ... (a variable resistor)

Can you clarify "violent started to spew out from the over fill..."
Do you mean coolant spewing out of the overflow bottle?
"loud ticking from the engine" is always a very bad sign. Sounds like the engine overheated and blew.

 

This was about a month or longer
The original poster hasn't come back to respond
So guess he went to mechanic and paid to get his engine fixed??
Or, dumped it to get another vehicle??
