Default 2001 Honda Civic Brake light/ Starting issues

Uk 2001 Civic
Tail/Stop light .&. Starting greml

Hi i've got brake light bulbs that are glowing excessively when the lights are switched on and negligably registers the brake pedal when its applied .. Could this be a faulty column switch ??(How to check?)Head lamps are fine ... Are there separate lighting relays for the rear lights (left and right side)?? .. I'm also having starting issues sometimes when i turn the key the whole car appears to loose power I was wondering if there was a main relay for the whole car ..(Where is it ?? )... Many thanks for your help..

So sounds like the brakes lights are on all the time.
Would suspect the brake switch is faulty

As for losing power when key is turned, would clean battery posts and cable terminals
Also clean grounds .. battery, engine ground straps, etc
Then see if symptoms returns
