86 Civic Si: I have a old Si with a dead a/c compressor. Tried a rebuilt filled with R134, but noticed that they recommended NOT using R134 in it...for a reason. This is a Keihin compressor.

Has anyone tried installing a later compressor that was designed for R134? Find any that fit w/o mods? With mods? I suspect it may be practical to adapt a compressor from a late 90's car, with, perhaps minor bracketing modifications. What about other things like expansions valves, etc.?

Anyone out there do something like this with any success?
