Default adding oil to A/C compressor????

I just replaced the A/C compressor in my 1995 Honda Civic DX. I was not told my Checkers that the compressor did not come with oil. How do I add the oil, without having to take everyting off again? Is there a shortcut?

I would appreciate any help, because the mechanic shop around the corner, told me that they would need to remove the compressor in order to add oil, which would cost me around $1000 because of the labor.

thanks

Rob

Default RE: adding oil to A/C compressor????

purchase a pressurised can like your freon ( says compressor oil ) and add it prior to adding your freon. If freon already added, and pressure is low, oil can still can be added. Oil can is a lot smaller than normal freon can.
