Default Del Sol, need piece for drivers door latch lock. what is it?

My interior door handles lock broke from the inside on my Honda Del Sol S, 97.... Now that lock just flaps. I took the entire handle piece off and found that the bar that seems to connect the key lock to the latch lock on the handle, a little white piece that held it in broke. That piece seemed to be what helt the bar into the latch. So basically, I want to know if its possible to buy just that little white piece or do I have to buy the entire handle which seems to run about $60?

The part number for the whole handle seems to be 72160-SR2-A02ZB

I think the part is #15 which is located in the door handle diagram under #22 at http://www.hondapartscheap.com/parts...ning/door-lock. Is this the correct part and am I able to buy just that #15?

That white pin was universal for all hondas from the late, late 80's to mid 2000's so if you find a broke down honda in a pick and pull you are good.

If you can't take the one out of the passenger door and go to a hardware store or a lowes. They have something that will fit fine. May not be an OEM replacement but it will work.

pretty universal huh? That should help things a lot! Do you think I could buy that small part directly from Honda?

Went by Honda today amd they were able to order just that part! Only costs about $5 which is a lot for a little piece of plastic but that beats $60 for an entire handle!
