Default Engine Swap

I’ve never done an engine swap and the engine I have has overheating problems. Changed the thermostat, radiator, radiator cap, checked for leaks, and it still overheats(only when I close the hood completely which is weird. I actually would like to swap for a JDM engine and I got 2k just to spend on the engine. I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX 1.7 stock engine. Automatic. I’m not sure what type of engines could go in the bay though.(I’m not mechanically inclined with cars.

Do yourself a favor and have a friend who is mechanically inclined help you do the heads on that one that is in it.
Id no friends take it to a shop that has been in business at least 10 years and they can do it.
