Default engine swap blues

i'm a new member and am having a bit of trouble with my gsr swap. i was hoping somebody here could help me out.
i got a 96gsr engine for my 93 civic hatch. the problem i've run into is with the wiring harness and ecu.

to start things off, neither the ECU nor the wiring harness came with the engine as was originally agreed upon. however, i did not make it to the shop to see the engine unwrapped until two months later. it was too late for me to do anything about it. so i ordered a 96 gsr ecu on ebay...got it super cheap too. but, the mechanic told me that since he was using my old wiring harness which is obd1 that i needed to get another ecu that was obd1. i've not been able to find a reasonably priced ecu thus far. if anyone has a 94-95 gsr ecu please email me @ jonheartroy@gmail.com.

my questions is, "could i just as easily get a gsr wiring harness and avoid having to buy a new ecu?" i've been without my car for almost a month now and i need it back pronto. please let me know whatever helpful info you can. thanks.

Default RE: engine swap blues

it would probley be better for you to get a p28 ecu which is the same one that comes out of the 92-95 civic ex and you can chip and and re-write them to whatever you want or even try out the new hondata S-300 system and chrome fuel management system works great also
