Default First car choosing between 2000 civic cx, or 2001 civic SI coupe

2001 Civic SI Coupe: 240,000 KM, 5 speed, sunroof, says excellent shape, drives a1(dunno what that means), inspected until October 2015, goodyear winter tires on rims, ready for winter. Just inspected last week, no rust. This car is $3000

2000 Honda Civic CX Hatchback: $2800, 170100 KM on it, 1.6L, 5speed, new windshield, two new front lower ball joints, RTX 10k HID's, or regular bulbs, tinted taillights, regular oil changes, doesn't burn oil, comes with 2 12" Orion subs in box. Needs minimal body work for common spots on civics.

I know nothing about cars, which one is more powerful would you say? This is my first car and I've narrowed it down to these two, and they're kinda the same aside for me wanting more power, but I don't know which is better. help!!!

Thanks!

you said km so im assuming your canadian ??? because the 2001si canadian is the US EX not the hatchback. but there both slow as hell the cx weighs less so i guess power to weight ratio leans in its favor. the older hatch has way more after market support then the 01.

I would look for something with a few less miles, you really don't know how well these cars were treated, and if the upkeep was regular.
