I just bought a 2005 Civic EX via a Craigslist add. Every thing seems ok except this alarm system is driving me mad. I am getting so much conflicting info online that I'm asking everybody....
-How can I tell if the alarm is factory or after market and how can I permanently disable it if at all. It's waking up my neighbors and I just want the thing off and out. I'm realizing this is complicated and am in over my head.

Anyone that is willing to give me info or advice is an angel.
