Help needed 2000 Civic wont start
My son's Honda quit running. I have tried the following and hoping someone can offer some advice.
checked compression. 150 - 180 across the board
tried spraying a little starting fluid in throttle body
tried putting a little fuel in cylinders
replaced cap and rotor
checked timing belt to make sure it hasn't jumped or broke
appears to be getting spark although not sure if it is enough
car turns over but doesn't even think about firing. It was suggested to me to replace the distributor, but my thoughts were that it would either be getting spark and be good or would be getting no spark and be bad. not sure if there is a middle where there wouldn't be enough spark.
can anyone help me?
