Exclamation Help please

well i have a 97 honda civic vtech.
i dont know why but i was driving it down the road and the vehicle jus killed on me and i parked it and tryed to recrank the engine and it wouldnt turn over for a couple of cranks but when it finnaly cranked up it was running verry very weak and would die if i touched the gas. i checked the distributor and it was bad so i replaced the cap and rotor still the problem occurs i checked the sparkplugs and wires they work correctly i checked the timing and it is timed i dont know where to check fuel pressure at with a gauge but we unbolted the fuel filter and turned the key on and it still pumps fuel real good i did a compression check on all 4 cylynders and they each read off at a 150#'s each can neone possible tell me what could be causing this problem???? plz help me.. if neone can talk over a fone possible to help me i am willing to give my cell #...

welcome to the forum. Could be the coil in the distributor is weak or bad.

thnx i was incorrect. it was the timing.. it jumped two teeth. we retimed it and it runs great... before that we had changed the cap and rotor and that helps it run better now
