I have a 1998 Honda civic uk spec ..

engine code is D14A4

Was looking some info on it .. If it can be remapped or does it have to have the Ecu chipped..

And want would be easy Engine Mods for it for some performance ..

 

First a Cold air intake with high flow Cat and exhaust. then if you can afford it a VTEC ECU and Head would net you about 25-28HP.

 

yeah but most of that would come from the new head. bolt ons like header,intake, exhaust don't really do anything to little 4 cylinder civic engines. you'd be lucky to make 9 HP with bolt on's really nothing noticeable. and if its automatic forget it your better of putting your money into suspension components and tires making your car handle better and more fun to drive.
