Default How to disble the auto lock on M/T '07 civic EX

If anyone could help with this I'd really appreciate it. I have an 2007 EX civic sedan with M/T and navi. I want to disable that annoying auto locking feature and I looked in the book (page 82) and it indeed tells you how to disable it on automatic transmission cars. That’s great, but I don't have a A/T. I did what it said anyway…start the car, put the e-break on, open the door and hold down the master lock for 5 seconds until you hear the "click" and then turn the car off within 5 seconds. I heard no such "click" and the car still auto locks at approx 9mph. I tried many combinations with no luck. Has anyone else ran across this before or know how to diable the auto lock? It's annoying the crap outta me.
Thanks in advance.
