I need help on a swap from a z6 to a d16y7

I need help on a swap from a z6 to a d16y7
Ok here it is i have a 1995 ex coupe i threw a rod in the z6 so i am swapping my d16y8 in the coupe.the swap is complete but the car will not run.it dosent do ne thing but pop and shoot flames out the exhaust when i turn it over can ne one help me out. Thanks every one
