Default k20 turbo in a 2001 honda civic ex?

ok, so i have a 2001 honda civic ex 1.7. I need to know if i can get a garrett turbo kit and swap out the t25 turbo, and put in a k20 turbo in its place. the t25 doesnt put out nearly enough power i want for my car.

ive talked to a few guys with 01 civics with a k20 turbo and they have about 400-550hp. im sure they have alot more engine upgrades than just the turbo to get 400hp, but i need to know if it really is possible to put in a k20 turbo or are they just bull****ting?

ive googled "k20 turbo for 2001 honda civic" but i cant find any hard data that its possible.

so any comments would be helpful. thanks

Aloha chickn: Welcome to the forum, hope we can help you and enjoy your stay. Go to this site, and you can see your friends correct, but be ready to spend a lot of money and down time to get 400 bhp!!!!
http://www.dyno-plot.co.uk/dyno/dyno...-Civic-CPL.htm view page 3,9 these were in the acura, but k20 engines and tubo's up to 12.5 psi.Tell us what you decide to do and how you're going to do this, there may be more of us that want to do this. I'm still looking into a k20 into my 07 fit stock only. I want to drive fast, not fly off the ground with 197 hp.
