Default muffler removal

00 civic dx hatchback automatic

I just got my part and i was wanting some advice on replacing the muffler i'm just putting another stock on it nothing fancy i've looked up videos but none really show me what all i'm looking for. But what tools would i need to complete this task? I'm not too car savvy i have replaced some things so nothing rude please, and thank you for your time.

Welcome in,you should loosen up the claps on either side of the old muffler unless it is welded on then the muffler will need to be cut off,if clamps then proceed by loosening up the muffler hangers just a bit to give you some slack in the system, take a hammer and hit the muffler till it comes loose. Put the new one on and tighten up the hangers and clamps.if this is too complicated for you take it to a muffler shop, they should not charge you more than $50.good luck.
