Default New Guy - New Civic?

Hello All,
First of all please forgive any ignorance posted. First time Honda buyer here. I am told they are very reliable therefore my interest. Des anyone know when the 2017 Civic models will be out? Is this a good time to get a close out deal on a 2016?
I am considering a base Civic. I will be using it to commute an approx. 100 mile per day drive at around 80 mph. Is the 4 cylinder model up for this?
I appreciate input on the reliability, longevity, handling, benefits or faults of either model. Any experience with engines, etc. Appreciated!
Thank You in advance for your input! Best Wishes!

welcome to the forum. 2017's show up early as aug 2016. If you do your homework, you can get a good deal by shopping, and offering cash. The civic can go fast and 4 cyl will not have a problem.

Welcome in,do your homework, see what other people are paying for the same model, you can usually get a better deal on 2016s if they are trying to move the 2017,make a resonable offer,if they don't except, walk away, they will call you back to make a better deal,I have done this on several cars,it works.
