paint job
hey i have a 2000 civic lx and I jus want to paint it black but when i went to a paint shop by my house they said they would have to basically take my car apart to paint it. The cheapest they said they could do it for is $5500. The guy told me if i went to maaco they would tell me the same so dont waste your time. I jus want to know if this is total bull**** because i've heard of paintjobs in the hundreds and if i should just go to maaco.

RE: paint job
the paint shop by your home is hungry, and may be taking advantage of your deep pockets. Go to maaco, or a paint shop advertizing painting for a special price. Be sure they are reliable, check with the better business and any reports. Getting several bids should not cost anything and will help you

RE: paint job
yeah idk bout going to macco cause up here in chicago they are not very reputable but maybe its different in other places and 5500 aint that much for a paint job as long as its a really good paint job i know some guy who got his rx 7 painted and it was 8000 so no 5500 is not that much as long as the do a really good job and they should not have to take the car apart and i would deffinatly take acmech52 advice and get a bunch of quotes and just shop around

New paint job?
I’m wondering if it’s worth repainting my entire car myself I have a 1997 Honda Civic DX coupe, it has bad sun damage and some scratches I’d need a new front/ back bumper because of small dents but wondering what I’d need to do a complete paint job, I’d be looking towards a bright white, any ideas of GOOD spray paint cans
