I HAVE A 1994 HONDA CIVIC LX AUTOMATIC YESTERDAY I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE IDLE JUMPING UP AND DOWN ONLY WHILE THE CARS ON PARK, NEUTRAL OR STOP AT A LIGHT. SO I GAVE IT A TUNE UP NEW SPARK PLUGS, SPARK PLUG WIRES, OIL CHANGE, GAS FILTER,AIR FILTER AND DISTRIBUTOR. NOW THE IDLE DONT JUMP UP AND DOWN ANYMORE BUT ITS STILL NOT IDLING LIKE IT SHOULD BE. THE CAR ALSO SHUTs OFF ON ME WHEN ITS COLD. I'M THINKING ITS HAS TO BE THE THROTTLE BODY BUT NOT SURE HOW TO TEST THAT OR ANY OF THE SENSORS AROUND IT. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO CHECK IF THESE THINGS ARE WORKING??? ALSO MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON SOME TIMES WHEN GOIN 80-85 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY

i just had something like that in my 95 hatch cx when i talked to my honda dude he said it might have something to do with the vacume pump lucky me i pulled a spark wire n saw oil i changed out the valve cover plugs and changed the oil....from pulling the one plug i got a lol oil in the cyl so it smoked a bit on start up but soon after i was good to go so id say pull them n look 4 oil
