Default Sound System

I have a 2003 4 dr honda civic, I am in the process of buying a new radio head to support a sub and better speakers.

What I don't know is how to install a Sub. A lot of people have told me this is something easy to do yourself. I was wondering if this is true? and if so, what brand/type of wiring, Sub, Amp should I look at purchasing. And how to install it? thanks for your help.

I suggest you buy a 4-gauge wiring kit . the kit is about $30 and i has everything you need to hook up your sound system.

As far as the AMp and sub i just depends on how loud and how hard you want it to hit. However i suggest you get subs in a pair . just having 1 speaker doesnt sound fuller in sedans. Preformance tecnick makes good amps. a good sounding system is 1000 watt amp and 2 12 in subs

Installtion:
1. you have to take the red power cable from the kit hook it to the battery and run it to the amp in the bavk
2. take out he radio and hook up the RcA's to the radio and run in to the amp in the back
3. cut the remote cable(blue cable) and connect it to your remote cable then run it to the amp in the back
4 Now you have to do is connect everything to the amp then get a ground cable and find ground close to the amp and connect it and you are Finished!!!!!

Insallation is very simple and fast .. you could do it in 30 mins
