Default Suitable Bike Carrier (rear mounted) for Civic 5-dr 96

Hello all

Very new to the Forum and was after some helpful advice.

I have a 5dr hatch Civic 1996 and have been trawling through the net looking for suitable bike carriers to use. Halfords and Argos say that due to their carriers (own brand) are unsuitable due to the "hatch rubbers". I think I have found a carrier by Thule which is the Freeway 968 that will fit the car but want to know if any other owners are currently using a bike carrier (suitable for three bikes - 1 adult and 2 small childrens bikes) and if so which one - want to know before I spend out that it will actually work!!

Thanks in anticipation!
Janice

welcome to the forum. Just a note, I have seen several civic owners have a hitch welded to the back and set up a rack to place the bike on the back carrier. the trunk/hatch can open with the bike still on the rack. ( expensive ) but also can be used to tow a small trailer to go camping or furniture sold or purchased.
