Default Voltage issue on 95 Honda Civic EX

Hi all,

I have a 95 Honda Civic EX with the 1.5L engine. For some time now I've noticed that when idling, and depending on how many accessories are on, the lights on the instrument panel get dim. It is more noticeable when using the turn signal lights. I could see the transmission gear light blink dim and bright with the turn signal light.

The issue goes away when I rev up the engine or when driving at normal highway speeds.

I've thought about changing the alternator, but the fact that the dimming stops when the RPMs increase leads me to believe it's something else. Battery is also pretty new.

What I haven't checked yet is the ground wire from battery to chassis. From reading other threads in here, that seems a likely symptom.

Anyone else experience this? What ended up being the fix?

I appreciate your help. TIA
