Default Want to tune my 2018 honda civic hatchback LX

I want to make my base hatchback faster . But not to race honestly just want a powerful car ,
what steps do you guys recommend i take
ive heard about hondata and ktuner
just want to know if i can get those without buying a new catback exhaust and cold air intake right away .

will they function properly without them ?
know its alot of question just cant find the answers anywhere.

welcome to the forum reading the applications does not say anything of modifying the intake or exhaust system, but the Hondata does state for non-Highway or street use. these units are not cheap but if you want raw power its available. But as you stated not for racing, these two units are for racing. if you are out of any Honda warranty, do as you want. just be aware if you are in a smog state as in Ca. you have to change to stock every smog check. but worth it.
