Unhappy Weird Engine Knock PLEASE HELP!!! 95 EJ d16z6

hi my d16z6 which i love is making a knock at low-mid rpm range i can even hear it in my exhaust tone now i dont have a super large amount of mechanical knowledge but i am definitely learning very fast and have been an enthusiast since i was a little boy(im 22 now) i have nrg grounded wires a skunk2 dyno tuned obd1 ecu short ram injen intake blox intake mani', xtr stage three flywheel and clutch, and an msd coil kit not many mods but ive only had the car a few months... anyways the car has been making the knock since the day i got it and i cant figure it out on my own like i will be at 25-30mph @2,500-3000rpm at 10% throttle and you can hear it from the motor and in my exhaust tone can anyone more knowledgeable than me please help i would greatly appreciate it thank you very much!

welcome to the forum, sounds like a possible crank or rod knock. If the car has high milage or it was run low on oil it may have wore out a bearing. you can hear a rod or crank knock mostly when applying power. when backing off, it is quiet or less noisy.

wow yep your right thanks alot man really appreciate it i tore it apart and its the bearing on my third cylinder i think im gonna trade it in for a 2004 civic ex EM dont know much about that motor you got any advice

so i have been asking around somemore and people are telling me thast if it were a rod bearing that i would not be able to drive the car and i drive it everyday im thinkin maybe its a valve or lifter maybe??? anyone??

you probably just need a valve adjustment this is common on higher mileage vehicles .
